My name is Cole Tupper and I am in the class of 2025 Cross Country and Track team for Elgin High School.  As a junior, I have personal bests of 14:53  in the 3 mile, 9:39 in the 3200, 4:36 in the 1600, and 2:06 in the 800.  I have 3 sophomore track records in the 800, 1600, and 3200, and the junior record for cross country.  Academic wise I have a 4.5 GPA and am currently taking college courses at a local college.  My goals this season are to be under 9:10 in the 3200, 4:12 in the mile, and 1:54 in the 800.  

I have only been running since my freshman year of high school and ever since then, I have been in love with the sport.  My teammates have voted me the most improved runner since my freshman year due to my massive improvements every year.  At the start of my freshman year, my 2-mile PR was 19:00 and within 2 years I have cut that time in half.  Besides running I have participated in the school chess team and have been a critical part of leading the team to state over the past 3 years, I am also a part of the student-athlete leadership team at Elgin High.    

I live by a little quote, “Today is a gift that is why it is called the present”.  This mindset helps me appreciate every little thing I do to make myself better as a runner and as a teammate. I am dedicated to pushing me and my teammates’ limits in the pursuit of achieving excellence, both on the track and in the classroom.  Every day I look forward to taking on every challenge to help my development as an athlete in the short term and the distant future and to achieve my greatest goal of being a student-athlete at the collegiate level.
