Hello! My name is Halle Braun, and I am part of the graduating class of 2026 at Sioux Falls Christian High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. My main events in track and field are sprints and hurdles, but I focus the most on hurdles for individual events. My most significant race is in the 300 hurdles with a time of 44.66, and also placing first with the fastest time for all classes at the SDHSAA State Meet my sophomore year. My other personal records include 100 hurdles with a time of 15.53. I also competed at the Nike Outdoor Nationals this summer which was a successful and great experience. My goals for junior year are to break 44 in 300 hurdles, a low 15 for 100 hurdles, run more individual sprint events such as the 100/200/400, and raise my GPA. Academically, I have a GPA of 3.9 and plan to major in law.  

Looking back, I can list many different things I have tried, such as, band, choir, volleyball, basketball, and track. After all, track and field would be my favorite out of all of them. Although physical activities are a big part of my life, I still value many other activities. I enjoy writing, hiking, and I am also trying out soccer this fall. I also enjoy playing a part in the community by helping at my church, and volunteering at The Banquet Food Bank in Sioux Falls. These have all shown me how to work with others and spend my time responsibly. For my junior year, I am enrolled in both dual credit and AP classes. I am excited to see how I will grow as a teammate and student throughout the year!  

Overall, I am looking forward to continuing my track and field career in college and competing at a high level! I am enthusiastic to see how I can grow as a person and teammate this next year, and I can conclude that I will have a positive impact on any team I run with.
