My name is Michael Davis, and I am a senior in the Latin School of Chicago’s class of 2019 as well as a goalkeeper in soccer.  As a member of the Latin Boys’ Varsity Soccer team, I allowed just four goals in twelve games played, and kept a clean sheet in the semi-finals and finals of the 2A Illinois State Championship, which we went on to win.  I am also a 4.14 GPA student and am enrolled in the most difficult available curriculum to a sophomore.  As a student athlete, my goal is to continue to do well and improve in both my academic and athletic careers, and I intend to play collegiate soccer while also maintaining a high GPA to prepare me for a successful post-college career.

As an athlete, I will bring a strong tactical understanding of the game to the team, as well as a high-level of technical ability and communication.  In addition, I am also an easy-going kid with a good sense of humor, and have been told by my coaches that I am a coachable and dedicated goalkeeper.  I have also participated in many community service events, and am currently an active member in Latin’s Autism Support Club.  As a rising co-head of the club, I have helped coordinate fundraisers with the school and raised over $500 for charity over the last school year.
