I am Charlie Calderone in the class of 2026 and I run for Conant Cross Country and Track and Field.  I started running my freshman year and turned out to really love it just after my first practice. As my high school career progressed I have improved my times by a lot. My personal bests are 14:59.9 In the 3 Mile,  10:11 In the 3200m, 4:33 In the 1600m.  This Track season my goals are to run in the Mid 4:10s for the mile and run a sub 9:20 3200m.  My Accomplishments for running are winning team MVP and Individually qualifying for state this past cross country season. 

Running is an extreme passion of mine. It has given me an outlet for my dedication. I like the competitive nature of it. To me, a race is the original form of competition. It is a pure form of competition because the first thing you do as a child is to think that you can beat someone in a race. I enjoy it because I’ve had success at it and it’s given me a solid support team. In adolescence and middle school I felt like I was left out of competition.
