My name is Jonah Schenk and I am a 2019 midfielder at The Latin School of Chicago, the Illinois High School 2A State Champions for 2016. As an aspiring collegiate scholar/athlete, I strive for excellence in both my academic and athletic endeavors and am a leader both on and off the field.

For club soccer, I play on the Chicago Fire Juniors 2000 Red Elite representing the 3 network of youth soccer clubs in Northwest Illinois and currently represent the Chicago Fire Juniors 10 network of youth soccer clubs in an “all-star” program known as Fire Juniors SC Elite ’00.

I pride myself on my character and integrity and leading by example both on and off the field. On the field, I have great field vision and am known for making key plays in clutch situations. I take all of my teams’ corner kicks and am a versatile player across the midfield. Off the field, Student Government is a passion. After serving as my Middle School’s Class President and recipient of its Leadership Award, I was elected as Freshman Grade Representative for the Latin School of Chicago’s Student Council, and served again as Sophomore Grade Representative the following year. I was elected as Junior Prefect last year and was elected Senior Prefect for this upcoming school year.

I also serve as the Co-Head of the Student Academic Board as a liaison between the faculty and student body. In both my Freshman and Sophomore years, I was selected as one of six upperclassmen to represent the school on its Admissions Panel for prospective students.
