My name is Kevin Finn and I am a class of 2027 student at Marist High School in Chicago, Illinois. I am a middle-distance runner with personals best times of 1:58.43 in the 800m and 4:44.07 1600m. Additionally, I ran a leg of the 4×400 team with a time of 53.50 as a sophomore. My sophomore year I qualified for the IHSA state meet in the 800m. I am 6’2, 175 pounds which allows me to have a long stride and powerful finish in my races. Academically, I have a 3.79 cumulative unweighted gpa. My goals for this upcoming season are to run a 1:54 in the 800m, gain more experience running the 1600m and 400m, and post times of 4:25 and 52.0 respectively.

I began running track in 7th grade and I have always pushed myself to be my personal best and reach my goals. I have a strong work ethic and I always try to motivate my teammates just as hard. I am the type of person who is a leader by example, as I believe actions speak louder than words. My work ethic, dedication, and passion for running will make me a great fit for a college program that has a positive culture, dedicated teammates, and the dynamics to push one another to become as successful as possible. In addition to running, I have also played basketball, been a member of Quest youth group, and a member of environmental/green team at Marist.

My goals for the future are to continue to work hard to be the strongest runner and student I can be. I hope to continue to grow in all areas of my life to be successful on the track and in the classroom.
