Hello! My name is Jillian Booth, and I am part of the graduating class of 2027 at York Community High School in Elmhurst, Illinois. My main events in track and field are sprints. My most significant race is the 100 meters with a time of 12.06, and the 200 meters with a time of 25.50. I was fortunate enough to run anchor in the 4X100 at the Illinois State Meet my freshman year, taking 5th place overall and setting a new school record. I’ve won four conference championships so far as well as first place in the 60m at the Illinois Indoor Championships. My other school records include the 55, 60, 100, 4X100 and 4×200. My goal is to break the school record in the outdoor 200 this year at 24.44. The record has stood since 1985. I also competed at the Oregon Relays as a Sophomore and I took 3rd place in the 100 meters. My individual goals for junior year are to run 11.75 in the 100 meters and break 25 seconds in the 200 meters. I will look to run at several special invite events this upcoming summer and strive to be a great teammate and leader. I am grateful to have been voted MVP of the York track team as a sophomore. Academically, I will continue working to raise my GPA. Currently, I have a GPA of 3.91 and plan to major in the medical field.  

Looking back, I can list many different things I have tried, such as dance, softball, cheerleading, lacrosse and track. After all, track and field would be my favorite out of all of them. Although physical activities are a big part of my life, I still value many other activities. I enjoy reading, collecting, hiking, professional development, and volunteering. I am currently involved in the program A Giving heart Foundation, a leadership and philanthropy program dedicated to supporting children with congenital heart disease. I also enjoy giving back to my community as I love to volunteer. Whether that’s at my local park district or opportunities through school. These opportunities have helped me develop strong leadership skills and cultivate collaborative problem solving abilities. For my junior year, I am enrolled in both dual credit and AP/ACP classes. I am excited to see how I will grow as a teammate and student throughout the year!  

Ultimately, I am eager to continue my track and field career in college and compete at a higher level. I look forward to seeing where this season takes me and how I grow as both an individual and teammate! I am confident that I will bring a positive impact on any team that I run with.
