My name is Aiden Frey, and I am a distance runner in the class of 2027 at Verona Area High School in Verona, Wisconsin. I love competing in cross country and track, specializing in the 800, 1600, and 3200.  I currently hold personal bests of 1:57, 4:20, and 9:37. Over the past several years, I have developed into a competitive and disciplined athlete through consistency, hard work, and a commitment to improving every day. Heading into the championship season of my junior year, my goals are to run 1:55, 4:15, and 9:20 while continuing to compete at the highest level possible against strong competition. 

I take pride in being a dependable teammate, leader, and student-athlete who brings energy and accountability to every practice and race. I value team culture and enjoy being part of an environment where athletes push one another to improve. I was elected as a 2026 Cross Country Captain for my upcoming senior season, and I was selected to serve on my high school’s Student Athlete Initiated Leadership Committee.  I love sharing my passion for running as a Flying Vs Youth Running Club volunteer, and as both a Special Olympics and Ironman volunteer. Outside of running, I love staying active in the off season with mountain biking (NICA) and cross country skiing (Madnorski). 

In the classroom, I have earned a 4.0 GPA while challenging myself with four AP courses, and four Honors courses. I plan to continue pursuing academic excellence at the collegiate level as I intend to double major in Business and Accounting. I have achieved Academic All Conference Honors and Academic All State Honors in XC in both 2024 and 2025.  

My involvement in clubs, volunteering and leadership has helped me develop strong character and communication skills. I am involved in many clubs at my high school including NHS, Silver Cord, and Care Across Continents.  I am also currently president of our high school’s Food Drive Club where I enjoyed leading 100+ students to collect over 50,000 lbs of food for our local pantry. I have spent over 100 hours organizing this club to grow, and make such a huge impact in our community.  I am also a member of 4H (current president), Young Life (where I am also a mentor for middle school Wyld Life) and a Freshman Mentor at my high school.   

In addition to my athletics, leadership, and volunteering, I am also a saxophonist. I have been playing for six years and currently play in our high school’s Advanced Wind Ensemble. I am proud to be a three time state solo ensemble qualifier, and state honor band finalist.    

Whether competing on the track, leading within my school and community, or challenging myself academically, I strive for excellence in every aspect of my life. I take pride in bringing high energy, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic to everything I do.
