Greetings! My name is Autumn Carlson, currently I am sophomore at Lake Central High school located in St. John, IN, graduating class of 2022.  My high school has almost 4,000 students, which makes trying out for the high school softball team extremely competitive.  I’ve been fortunate to make this team of superb athletes both as a freshman and sophomore.  Softball is a true passion of mine.  I work extremely hard to earn my place on the team, and my stats to date prove it.  I’m a pure leftie (throw and bat left handed), leadoff hitter, slapper, and play any position in the outfield.  My greatest attributes are my speed and my knowledge of the game.  My cumulative GPA is 3.7.  My athletic goal is to have the opportunity to play college softball because of my passion for the game.

 As an athlete I’m constantly looking to improve on the field and off.  I like to set goals in the weight room and in the class room.  I have a sister 6 years younger than me that I enjoy spending time helping her with hitting, catching, and throwing.  In the neighborhood I live in, I’m trusted by many families to babysit their kids.  When I’m not thinking or playing softball, I enjoy playing ping pong with my dad and working on projects with my mom.

My athletic persona can be described as positive, encouraging, hard worker, and most importantly a great leader.  I strive for excellence both on and off the field.  I prescribe to a positive outlook in any situation and believe setbacks are opportunities to learn from and get better.  I like to think every problem is an opportunity.   I always believe in team first.  I never give up and fight to the end.  Though my physical stature may be small, I am fierce and as strong as they get.  My confidence and performance proves it.  It’s always been a dream of mine to play college softball, I feel my love and dedication for the game, along with my academic achievements will help me turn this dream into a reality. For more information, please email me at autumncarlson2022@gmail.com.
