My name is Cody Hazzard and I will be a part of the 2023 graduating class at Yorkville Christian High School. I am currently playing baseball as a right-hand pitcher and playing outfield. Currently my favorite things to do are to work out in the gym and work on my pitching mechanics with my coaches. I have a great pitching frame as I stand 6’2’’ and weigh 175 pounds. I am a person that strives for my goals. Outside of sports, I have academic goals of getting an A in every class and having at least a 4.0 GPA. I want to help myself and others go down the right path. In the past I have played Golf, Basketball, and have been a part of a Bass fishing Team. 

My biggest strength is the love of the game for baseball and being very coachable. I love playing, watching, reading about, and writing about baseball. I am very confident on the mound, and I do not let my emotions get to me. My teammates love how much confidence and fun I have on the field. I have had several complete games over the past couple years and my opponent’s Batting Average Against is under .200.  When they do make contact, it is mostly on the ground. My academic history is strong, as I currently stand with a 4.4 GPA.

I will be a role model on your campus, on the field, and in the classroom, and I will be committed to everything I do and setting examples for others through my attitude.
