My name is Adarsh Prathap and I am a part of the class of 2024 at Fremd High School in Palatine, Illinois. During my athletic career, I’ve ran personal bests of 15:54 for a 3-mile cross-country race, 9:56 for 3200 meters, and 4:38 for 1600 meters. I had an excellent summer of training, and am expecting big things in the fall and spring. This upcoming cross-country season, I have goals of running sub-15 minutes for 3 miles and leading our team to the state finals for the first time in 14 years. In the track season, I hope to run sub-4:20 for 1600 meters and under 9:20 for 3200 meters. I am a proficient student with a 3.98/4.00 unweighted GPA, a 4.98 weighted GPA, and an SAT score of 1560. In the future, I look forward to furthering my interests in physics and engineering. 

I have developed my aerobic abilities throughout high school as a result of higher-mileage training, and have used these skills to place well in races. In the most recent track season, I was able to run a personal best in the 3200 meters, placing 5th at the MSL Conference Championships. At practice and meets, my teammates describe me as a dedicated leader who is focused on helping those around me improve. I bring these leadership skills to other activities at my school, particularly in my Executive Board position on the Congressional Debate team. My commitment to the team and my peers is what makes me an excellent fit for any program. I am dedicated to training and expect the same from my teammates, bringing out the best in those around me.  

It has been my dream to run at the next level since I began running competitively. I have worked hard to achieve my goals, and am confident that work will pay off in the upcoming year.
