My name is Aden Sears and I will be a part of the class of 2021 at Eureka High School in Illinois. My personal best of 49.47 in the 400 meter dash allowed me to place seventh in the IHSA 2A state meet. I have also been blessed to be a part of a blistering 3.18.52 4×400 meter relay team that placed second. My personal best in the 100 meter dash was 11.02 and my personal best in the 200 was 22.5. I have many goals which are track related; one of which being able to improve my 400 time to the mid 47s before the end of my high school career. I also am in pursuit of a 21.5 and 10.6 in the 200 meter dash and 100 meter dash. Not only are my goals track related but they are also self oriented, football related, and improving myself as a person as a whole. I aim to be an all state receiver before my high school football career is done. I would like to maintain straight A’s in my classes. Also I would like to improve my character as a whole. And lastly I am working to make my SAT score above a 1200. 

The experience I have obtained by training side by side with some of the best in the state since my freshman year has proven to be extremely valuable. Since my freshman year at Eureka High School I have been one of the main leaders on the team. Whether that be by example, encouraging someone, or motivation. And not to mention I do pride myself on my work ethic. Even if things aren’t going the way I planned, you can count on that I gave it my all. I have also been furthering my education by being involved in National Honors Society, Science Club, and Key Club. 

It has always been a lifelong goal of mine to be a part of an amazing collegiate track team. Most importantly I would like to suit academic and athletic needs, and be able to mesh well with the coaches and teammates. I hope to make an impact at the collegiate level and then bring my success along with the knowledge I have learned back to help the athletes around my community.
