My name is Alexis McEntee and I am sprinter / pole vaulter in the graduating class of 2027 from Sioux Falls Christian High School, located in South Dakota. I run the 100/200 along with competing in pole vault and running a part of multiple state title winning relay teams. My sprint PRs are 12.50 and 26.99 respectively, and I have a personal best of 11’1” in pole vault. Looking ahead to my senior track season my goals are 12.2 in the 100, sub 26 in the 200, and 12+ feet in pole vault. Aside from times, I hope to continue to be a strong contender on my relay teams and show great leadership as an upperclassman. I have a cumulative GPA of 4.04, and plan to take at least 3 more AP classes my senior year.

Aside from track and field, I have nearly a decade of experience in club gymnastics, which has taught me great work ethic and given me a strong athletic foundation. Beyond athletics I love hiking, traveling with my family, long walks, reading, and hanging out with my friends. I’ve worked at the same job for the past four years alongside babysitting and helping out with my family business, which has taught me extra responsibility. I love learning new things and I plan on studying either nutrition, psychology, or exercise science in college. My best trait is my desire to give my all in everything that I do. I care about being a good teammate and strong example to anyone.

Looking ahead I am so excited to continue my track and field career at the next level and be surrounded by people who love the sport as much as I do! I hope to be pushed every day and find a school that will allow me to continue to develop my speed and skill. As of right now I’m looking forward to and working towards growing both athletically and academically my senior year! For more information, please email me at alexismcentee2027@gmail.com.
