My name is Andy Hansen. I am part of the class of 2024 and I run cross country and track at Palatine High School in Illinois. I have a weighted GPA of 4.8 and unweighted of 3.9. As a junior, I have current personal bests of 4:30 in the 1600m, 9:53 in the 3200m, 15:21 and 15:51 in the 3 mile and 5000m XC respectively. My goals for senior year are to run 14:45 and place all-state in the IHSA State Meet, and to run sub 4:20 for 1600m, sub 9:20 for 3200m and sub 1:58 for 800m.

Ever since my freshman year, I have developed a dedicated passion for running and the grind of distance training and competing. I am a leader on and off my high school team as I volunteer for a children’s running camp over the summer. I take pride in my ability to be resilient, persevere and work hard to achieve my goals and help others achieve theirs. I have high standards in both my academic and athletic career challenging myself in both areas while maintaining balance.

I am very excited to work my hardest during my final year at Palatine High School and I am looking forward to making lasting memories with my teammates during my Senior seasons of cross country and track.
