My name is Atticus Miller, class of 2024, and I run Cross Country and Track and Field at New Trier High School in Illinois. As a student-athlete, I have emphasized my education throughout high school. I currently have a 5.13 weighted GPA, taking all AP, high-honors, or honors classes. I also scored a 1520 on the SAT on my first attempt. My current PRs are 14:59 for 3 miles in cross country and 4:31 for 1600m. My main goals for my junior track season include running 4:15 in the mile and 9:15 in the 2 mile. Although these goals are ambitious, I strongly believe that I can achieve them through diligence with my training.

My positive attitude, maturity, and commitment to working hard on and off the track will make me a valuable teammate and student. I bring a team-first mentality and understand the importance of fostering lasting relationships with teammates and coaches. My rigorous course load at New Trier has taught me how to balance school with athletic commitments, which will leave me prepared for college athletics. In addition, I am involved in numerous other extracurricular activities, including working as a Sunday School assistant teacher, belonging to a local Jewish Youth Group, participating in Students Demand Action, a gun-violence activism club, and working with kids with disabilities through my school’s Enriching Lives Through Service program.
