My name is Ava Garcia and I am part of the 2026 graduating class at Hampshire High School in Illinois. I have earned FVC All conference and have qualified for AUU nationals in the 4×4. Having the opportunity to compete in club track has given me a chance to extend my season and compete with great competition to reach my goals. I currently have PRs of 13.28 in the 100, 27.04 in the 200, and 1:00.93 in the 400. These times are all from my sophomore year, my junior year I experienced an injury which unfortunately left me unable to compete for the entire duration of my junior season. However I am looking to significantly improving these times as I plan on working in off season to prepare for my senior year and am strongly interested in competing track and field at the collegiate level.

In terms of academics, I have taken 4 AP classes. I got accepted into my schools national honor society sophomore year where I complete 60+ hours of volunteer work each year. I currently have a GPA of 3.4 unweighted and a 5.2 weighed. As I am strongly involved within my school from being a varsity student athlete, involved in clubs including NHS and student ambassadors, being apart of a small group of girls on my high schools track team leadership team, consistently volunteering and working a part time job I am aware of the type of commitment and dedication it takes to compete at the collegiate level. As a leader in numerous aspects of my life I serve as an example to use adversity to become the best version of yourself on the track and in the classroom.
