My name is Chase Martin-Scott and I will be graduating from Glenbard West in Glen Ellyn, Illinois as a member of the class of 2027. I run all of the sprint distances up to and including 400 meters. My best times currently are 11.01 in the 100m, 22.8 in the 200m and 51.13 (indoor) in the 400m. I am 5’9, 140 pounds. This past season I was the first leg of our school record breaking 4×100. I also qualified in 3 races my freshman year for state, 4×100, 4×200 and 4×400 as well as in the 4×100 my sophomore year. I broke a total of 8 records my sophomore year, 4 individual records and 4 relay records. My goal for junior year is to be all state in the 400 meters and to reach personal bests in the 100/200/400. 

Academically I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA and a 4.55 weighted GPA. I am enrolled in AP and Honors classes. What makes me unique is my dedication to being a great student as well as a great athlete, friend, volunteer and family member. I’m working hard to keep my 4.0 GPA throughout High School, I enjoy running as well as soccer with my high school teammates. For me, the team environment is what I enjoy the most about running track as well as getting to push myself to do my very best. I also saw how impactful volunteering can be as I have throughout high school volunteered with my friends at the local foodbank and saw the families that this impacted personally. I enjoy family time with my little brother and my parents and visiting with my extended family back in the St. Louis area.  

I want to go on to run at the college level and compete for a school that values what I bring to them both academically and athletically. I look forward to this next step in my athletic and professional journey and want to be at a school that challenges me and the ability to be in a fun team environment.
