My name is Christian Kronk and I am a student-athlete of Illinois Columbia High School’s 2024 graduating class. I compete in the 110m and 300m hurdles, In addition, I strive to mold myself in extracurriculars outside of my athletic and student life feeding my hunger for the busy life. As someone who is rather late to the track and field experience this sport has been a powerhouse to my further increasing work ethic and re-written the phrase “full potential” for me, such foundation is a prerogative of my future. This year I aim to shoot at a 14.5 for 110m hurdles and a sub 39 for the 300m hurdles.

Full potential is uncapped with coaches that can highlight areas of needed improvement to reach the top of the game. So, with my upcoming collegiate career, I seek an environment with ever-open arms to be better than the best that I can be. As well, I venture to do the same as a person, I stretch my growing passions to servanthood for my community church and also for our middle school track team. I lead our church’s youth group every Wednesday, whether it be leading small groups or preaching, I love spreading my knowledge with my peers. As far as our middle school track team goes, I take pride in coaching my kids, spotlighting things I wish I learned not only to become a better hurdler but also for driving themselves to find a hidden passion for something I, myself, have grown to love.

I am very leadership driven, making sure as an athlete, it is my responsibility to push the boundaries of not only myself to the fullest but also those around me on my team. As in college, I am ambitious to find an environment where I can not only sharpen my athleticism but also my traits as a person. I intend to look back on my high school years knowing that I gave it 100 percent, but it has been my long-lasting goal to perform at the collegiate level at 110 percent. For more information, please email me at christiankronk2024@gmail.com.
