I am David Schiff, a student at Oak Park River Forest High School, class of 2026. I compete in the 1600m as well as the 3200m race. I am 5’11 and 135 lbs. I run a 4:45 for the mile and a 10:31 for the 3200. I have shown incredible improvement during the last cross country season, and I look to the same in track, aiming to finish my junior year with a 4:30 (1600) and a 9:30 (3200). As a student, I have taken 10 honors classes and 3 AP classes with a weighted GPA of 4.007. By the end of my high school career, I will have taken 6 AP’s and 11 Honors classes. I have been on the Honor Roll and Deans List throughout my high school experience.  

I consider myself a leader in both my academic and athletic environments. As I complete my time at OPRF, I am determined to improve myself and lead my team to another State title. I enjoy participating in clubs such as Best Buddies which includes engaging fellow students with special needs. I love to volunteer in my community, including helping at our local food pantry and in our children’s museum. I am looking forward to my summer job as a camp counselor, helping kids with special needs. During my senior year, I look forward to being part of OPRF Leadership, during which I will mentor members of the incoming freshman class.
