My name is Eoin Kohn, and I am a 6’2” 175lb junior in the class of 2026 at Central Catholic High School in Bloomington, Illinois where I have made significant athletic contributions as a Saint for three varsity teams – track, football and basketball. I am a passionate athlete and team leader on the field and court, but I am most excited about competing as a runner at the collegiate level.  

In 2024 I helped my team finish 5th at the IHSA State Meet, where our 4×400 set a school record; my split was 50.24 seconds. Other race success in 2024 included Sectional Champion 4×800; my split was 2:02:27. I did not have the opportunity to run many open races during my sophomore season and my goal for this season is to showcase my talent by running under 50 seconds for the 400m and under 2 minutes for the 800m.  My best times in these races currently are 53:42 (ran indoors) and 2:06:49 respectively. I am so excited for the season to achieve my personal goals while also contributing toward team success. I love track because of the objectivity of top times leading the way for individuals, however celebrating team success and triumphs is the best part of the sport.  

I am a competitor by nature and am most fulfilled when I am driving my teams through athletic accomplishments, but I also seek to lead in the classroom. I maintain a challenging academic schedule at Central Catholic with AP classes and have maintained a 3.0 grade point average. I also volunteer outside the classroom with several community organizations and was honored to serve as a game day promotions intern for the Illinois State University Athletic Department during the 2024-2025 men’s and women’s basketball season. I thoroughly enjoy staying busy and productive and find that the time management required as a student athlete is necessary for me to focus.  

I am excited to find a college that will allow me to pursue academic success while also competing at the next level. College athletics will enable me to grow and build relationships with both coaches and athletes thus opening new doors throughout my college experience.
