Hello, my name is Gavin Jaime, a student of the graduating class of 2018 at Providence Catholic High School in Illinois. I compete in the 400 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 100 meter dash, and pole vault. I am 6 feet tall and 155 pounds, possessing a strong physique and runner body style. I currently have a personal best of 48.95 in the 400, 22.07 in the 200, 10.98 in the 100, and jump 13’7 in pole vault. I am looking to set the school record in both the 400 and 200 meter dash as well as continuing to stay on the Honor Roll list.

I am a strong leader and someone that many kids look up to, especially when it comes to things not being very easy. I am always there to encourage my teammates and keep the morale of everyone around me very high. I often see what the team needs and help in any way shape or form. Sometimes I have to get out of my comfort zone and do things I am usually not expected to do and never back down.

I continue to mentor underclassmen as they often are experiencing new things and they often look to me as a role model to follow. I have high expectations and always strive to meet them, never being discouraged easily. Many people state that I am naturally talented allowing me to be successful in many different events, which causes me to find many different events that I am able to be successful in.
