My name is Jack Castelli, and I am a class of 2024 distance runner at O’Gorman High School in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  Although only a sophomore, I earned all state honors in both the 1600 and 3200 at the South Dakota AA (biggest class) state track meet this past spring.  While I made big strides this past year, I am confident that I will make bigger strides this coming year, and I am aiming to break 4:20 in the 1600 and 9:20 in the 3200.

Up until high school, my family lived in the Chicago area.  Moving to South Dakota has given me a different perspective with regard to running and life in general.  However, it has only heightened and enhanced my love of the sport.  It was the thing that helped me fit in and make friends immediately. Moreover, that is one of my strengths in that I am a hard worker and can succeed in a number of different environments.

I have two older sisters— including one who runs for Santa Clara University.  This  has made me want to run in college even more.  I am looking forward to starting the process of finding the right school that will be the right fit for me as both a runner and a student.
