My name is Jackson LeMay, I am a class of 2025 sprinter graduating from Chippewa Falls High School in Wisconsin. I am 5’10 and 175lbs. I just finished my second year running track and I have achieved personal bests of 11.07 in the 100m, and 21.87 in the 200m. I am a 2024 WIAA state qualifier in the 200m, 4x200m relay, and the 4x400m relay.  At that state meet, my relay finished as runner up in the 4x200m relay and were WIAA all division state champion in the 4x400m relay. We ran 3:16.29 which is the second fastest time ever ran at the state meet in Wisconsin. I have maintained a 3.3 GPA and scored a 22 on my ACT. My goals for this upcoming track season are to pick up long jump and jump 22+ft, get down to 10.7, 21.4 respectively and run an open 400m in 49.0 range. 

The main thing I bring to the team is hard work. As an athlete at a D1 high school, I know the meaning of hard work and earning my spot. I am a three-sport athlete (football, hockey and track) and I saw varsity time as a sophomore for football, have been on varsity since I was a freshman for hockey and ran varsity track my first year of track as a sophomore. This isn’t due to having weak programs, this is due to me putting in the time and effort and being all in and knowing that I needed to prove myself. I look up to the upperclassmen and learn from them and help those around me improve so we can achieve our goals together.   

I embrace the opportunity and show up to practice every day ready to become better than I was yesterday. I also do an excellent job bringing as much energy as I can to the team, always picking up and encouraging teammates to be the best they can be and help the team win as much as possible. Another thing about me is that if I do not know the answer to something, I will do whatever is necessary to find out and seek to understand the answer. I am always looking to learn more about track and find ways to improve. I encourage constructive criticism and I hate losing.  

I have big goals for myself and am willing to sacrifice and work harder than ever to achieve them. I come ready to work hard every day and bring the energy my teammates and I need to get through the hard days. I want nothing more than to help my team succeed and I will work as hard as it takes to make sure losing is not an issue. My goal is to compete at the collegiate level and be part of a team that works hard, isn’t afraid to put in the work and wants to win.
