My name is Juliana Stogsdill, I am a rising junior and 2019 graduate at Plainfield North HS in Plainfield, Illinois – and I run cross country and distance track. I finished 52nd in the state championship my freshman year and sophomore year I finished 47th in the state championships and in the spring I came in 17th in the 3200 for track in the state meet.

Sophomore year, I was all conference, all-sectional in cross country and also won the MVP award. My PR of the cross country season is 17.22 in the 3 mile. My goal in my junior year is to go sub 17:00 and finish all-state which is top 25. I was also all-conference and all-sectional as well as MVP for track my sophomore year. My PR for the 800 is 2:17 which is from freshman year, 1600 is 5:16 and 3200 is 11:04.  I ran the 3200 in the Illinois Top Times meet this past indoor season. My goals for the upcoming junior year track season is to be break 5:00 for the 1600 and break 10:50 for the 3200, as well as, achieving all-state which is top 9.

In addition to school, cross country and track, I am in involved in Young Life. It is a Christian program that builds friendships and brings us closer to our faith. I also am a Junior Board member of Young Hearts for Life. It is an organization that educates the community about Sudden Cardiac Death and how to prevent it. I have been a camp leader for Vacation Bible School for for the past 5 years and really enjoy helping to mold young children and leading them down the right path, and I am looking to continue helping kids, through my education.
