My name is Kaelan Natyshok and I am a 2023 right-handed pitcher and outfielder that attends Coal City High School in Illinois. I am currently 6’3”, weigh 215 pounds and recently touched 87 mph on the mound. I am continuing to work on three offspeed pitches(changeup, curveball, slider) with great movement that pair well with my fastball. I am also a good student that is ranked 6th in my class with a 4.59 out of 4 cumulative GPA. I am a very goal oriented person that likes to challenge myself to do my best in the classroom and in the field. Academically, I want to continue my success and finish this school year with a 4.7 out of 4 GPA and jump into the top 5 in class ranking. Athletically, I want to win the Illinois 2A state championship this year in baseball and I want to throw 90 mph by the end of the summer season. I am going to push myself extra hard this year to achieve my goals because both of my summer and school baseball seasons were hindered last year due to a shoulder injury.

My biggest strengths as a baseball player are my coachability and my love for the sport. I have also become more confident and mentally stronger throughout the years. Three years ago, letting up a base hit would shatter my confidence and my body language would indicate it. Now, I could let up a home run and you wouldn’t even see a change in my body language or confidence. I am also very competitive. I go into every at bat with a mentality that I have to compete with every pitch that I throw at the hitter. At Coal City High School, I enjoy being a member and contributing to multiple clubs and organizations. I am a member of Future Business Leaders of America and Coalers with Character, which is an athlete organization that helps organize events for our school and community. I am also currently being accepted into the National Honors Society. In order to afford food and gas, I work at my local Berkot’s Super Foods in the E-commerce department.

I’m seeking  to attend a college that will allow me to compete at a high level academically and own the baseball field.
