My name is Lili Sorenson and I am currently a junior and future 2023 grad at Adlai E. Stevenson HS in Lincolnshire, IL. I am a three-sport athlete competing in lacrosse, field hockey, and allied basketball, looking to continue my lacrosse career in college. I made the varsity team my freshman year (season lost to COVID) and then earned All-State 2nd Team honors as a sophomore. I am also in my third year on the varsity field hockey team and was a starter by the end of the season in my first year playing the sport. I play for True Lacrosse 2023 IL State Team, True National team, as well as the True Premier team.

As an athlete, one of my biggest strengths is my dominance on the field. Through endless hours working on stick handling as well as extensive footwork training sessions, I have become a better player for myself as well as my team. I’m aggressive and will always give over 100% in whatever I do. My coaches say I am the strongest leader and have the highest lacrosse IQ on my team. I love helping and guiding teammates to make the right decisions on and off the field. I’m a leader for the community as I play Allied Basketball which is an outlet for special needs kids to come after school and play basketball competitively. I am also involved in youth ministry and participate in peer youth ministry outings. I love volunteering my time at Stevenson High School and have volunteered many hours at the local nursing home as well as food shelters around Chicago. Academically I have a 3.91 GPA and will continue to work to raise my grade. I have not yet tested for the SAT or ACT but I will be working with tutors over the next year to ensure a good score.

I have a passion for competing and strive to excel in all aspects of my life. I have five siblings, three of whom (brother Jack: football at Miami of Ohio, sister Sophie: lacrosse at UCONN and brother Will: volleyball at Harvard) currently play a Division 1 sport in college.

I am inspired by what they have done and eager to follow in their footsteps. At the college I attend, I plan to continue my involvement with the community. Ultimately, I want to go to a school that will challenge me academically and that will inspire me to become the absolute best player on and off the field.
