Hi! My name is Mary Grace Hegberg, I am currently a junior and future 2022 graduate of Saint Viator High School in Arlington Heights, IL. During this indoor track season, I ran my first ever 1600m with a time of 5:04 and my goals for this upcoming outdoor season includes crushing a sub 4:55 minute in 1600m, reaching a 2:18 in the 800m, and attempting the 3200m for the first time. I am also an honors student in a rigorous college prep environment maintaining a 95% GPA out of a possible 100 points (which roughly equates to a 4.0 GPA).

While track has always been my passion, it is ironic to explain that this Spring of 2021 will be my very first official high school track season, due to playing lacrosse freshman year and the pandemic occurring in my sophomore year. I ran cross country my freshman and sophomore year, but sadly couldn’t run this year due to an injury. I have participated in basketball up until junior year, competitive soccer up until freshman year, as well as sailing and lacrosse. In addition to sports, I am a member of our school’s Student Council, the STEM designation program, and the Ambassadors Club.

I am determined to give 100% of my focus and energy to being one of the strongest runners in your college program.  I am also a well-rounded student and service oriented individual who will positively impact any university that I am associated with.
