My name is Morgan Navarre and I am a class of 2026 track and lacrosse student-athlete at York Community High School in Elmhurst, Illinois. As a freshman, I was indoor and outdoor conference champion in the 400 and 300m dash. I qualified for state in the 400, 4×1, and 4×4. I was the only freshman to make it to the finals in the 400 and ended up all state in the 400 with a time of 58.1. Currently, in my sophomore year I was indoor conference champion in the 400 and 300 and won Illinois Top Times in the 400 running a time of 57.7. I have broken many school records my freshman and sophomore year including the 400, 300, 4×2, and 4×1. Some of these records held for 41 years.   

I also play lacrosse for York High School as well as a nationally ranked team, Lakeshore Lacrosse. I took my team to Sectional finals last year and have a goal to make the state finals this year. Although I’m not able to attend all games due to track, I still am leading the team in assists and ground balls. This attests to my hard work and drive to be the best athlete I can be. My athleticism and speed shine on the lacrosse field from my track training. I also attend a year-round speed program that focuses on strength training, agility, injury prevention, and speed while recently making the 20-mph club.   

I am excited for the future and have goals of running a 56 second 400 by the end of my sophomore season and a 55 second 400 by the end of my junior year.  I also ran a 25.4 200 at the Oregon Relays this year and am training to run a sub 25 by the end of this year. While being a dual athlete, I maintain a 3.8 GPA taking numerous honors and AP classes.
