My name is Olivia Rosenstein and I will graduate from Urbana High School (Illinois) in 2020. I run the 3200 (PR 11:09), 1600 (5:06), and cross country (17:16 for 3 miles). I am the first multi-year girl’s All-State cross country runner in my school’s history, and I placed 2nd in the 3200 at the 2019 IHSA Class 2A State Finals. I have a brain capacity to match my aerobic capacity: I scored a 1560 on the SAT, have a 5.7 GPA (5.0 point scale), and as a junior I completed a vector calculus course at the University of Illinois. My running goals for senior year include winning a state title in the 3200, running sub-5:00 in the 1600, and getting another full year of development before entering college.

Beyond my academic and athletic excellence, I will bring my inquisitive nature and aptitude for collaboration to my college team. It should be no surprise that as a keen student and passionate athlete, I search to answer my running questions by reading a plethora of books regarding human biology and performance. As a team captain since sophomore year, I have learned to cultivate cooperation and believe that a team should be a family. I also intend to carry my service work with Habitat for Humanity into my college life.
