My name is Parker Boehne, and I am a member of the class of 2024 at Christ our Rock Lutheran High School (CORLHS), located in Clinton County Illinois.  I am a successful three-sport athlete (golf, baseball, and basketball), with my main sport being Golf.  

I have listed the highlights of my recent golf and academic accomplishments below, including my 3rd place All State finish in Class 1A at the Illinois High School Association State tournament in October 2022 (finished 1 stroke off the championship), and several tournament wins and finishes at various levels.  My goal is to play golf at the college level, and I am passionate about achieving that goal, and continuing to improve my golf game every day.  I am driven, and work extremely hard throughout the year, including working indoors when necessary, and taking private lessons.  I have played many tournaments at all levels, and have experience playing with all types of course and weather conditions.  That experience will serve me well as a college golfer.

I strive to be a leader in all that I do, and try to set a positive example consistently.  I believe my strong work ethic has helped me achieve success, and I am highly focused on continuing to grow as a student-athlete and golfer.  Academics are very important to me, and I currently have a 3.94 cumulative g.p.a. and take several honors classes.  I scored a 23 on the ACT and will take it again in July 2023.  

I serve on the CORLHS Student Leadership team, have received an Academic Excellence award all three years, am a member of National Honor Society, and have received the integrity award for golf.  I will also be involved in the leadership of the student mentoring program for the upcoming year.  Recently, I took on the responsibility of taking care of the school grounds, including weedeating and mowing, as my service project.  In addition to the school golf team, I am a starter for both basketball and baseball.  I have received all-state honors for golf and basketball, all-conference honors for golf, baseball, and basketball, and serve as captain of the golf team and co-captain for the basketball team.  I also serve as an umpire for youth sports in the community, and have volunteered for the last three years as a Standard Bearer for the Ascension Charity Classic event held in St. Louis.  I have strong organizational skills and have been successful at managing academics, sports and other activities.  This will serve me well as a college golfer.

* 18th /112 at 1A State tournament, Prairie Vista Golf Course, Bloomington, IL, 78, 78.

* 1st place at IHSA Sectional tournament, Acorns Golf Course, Waterloo, IL, 71 (won in 2-hole playoff) advanced to 1A State tournament.  

*2d place at IHSA Regional tournament, Red Hawk Golf Course, Pinckneyville, IL, 67 (par 70), advanced to 10/2/23 Sectionals at Acorns Golf Course, Waterloo, IL  

*Repeat Medalist at Crusader Classic Golf tournament, St. Clair Country Club, Belleville, IL, 67 (par 72) (over 100 golfers and 17 teams, including several 3A and 2A schools from St. Louis Metro area)

Due to injury, I will not be able to play my remaining summer schedule, including several AJGA events I was accepted into, the National High School Invitational, USGA qualifiers, and other high-level tournaments for which I had been scheduled.  I will be able to return to playing in late July/early August 2023 and expect to come back strong.  I am currently working on strengthening my legs and core and golf drills I am able to do, and various other activities to stay in good shape.
