My name is Patrick Wills from Waukesha North High School class of 2022. My burning passion belongs to the sports of cross country, and track and field. My primary event is the 3200m run and my secondary is the 5k for cross country. However, one of my all time favorite races was winning the 1600m run in the very competitive classic 8 conference meet as a freshman! I have set some colossal goals for the upcoming 2021 cross country season. I am targeting a sub 15 minute 5k at the state course in Wisconsin Rapids. For the 2022 track season, I am going for the 1600m school record which will require me to achieve a time under 4:19. I am ready to take these challenging goals and work for every reduced second that needs to be shaved off my personal bests times. 

Since starting my sophomore season of cross country I have worked on developing leadership skills to build up a group of diverse individuals. I was promoted to team captain my junior year and have led my team through the use of positive reinforcement for success in the sport and empathy for the failures in the sport. It has been an absolute pleasure working with my teammates who all share a common goal of running faster times. I put my heart and mental desire to improve in both my sports and academics by always seeking direction to improve through reflection. I also know it is beyond essential to form new bonds by meeting new people as every encounter can be an opportunity to have a lifelong relationship. I am also an active member of the ecology club in my school and enjoy volunteering for Silver Circle Sports Running Events by encouraging the community of runners when I am not racing! 

I am ready to start and finish my senior year even stronger and reach new heights that I know are within my grasp. I will maximize my energies in the classroom to work towards improving my 3.9886 GPA to over a 4.0. I am thrilled about where the future will lead me in education and athletics.
