My name is Paul Silvani, and I will be graduating from the Latin School of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois as a member of the Class of 2025. I am a serious student-athlete, with a strong desire to challenge myself academically and athletically. I discovered long jump during my sophomore year and have been able to improve my PR from 5.79 to 6.29 meters during my junior year. While jumping is my specialty, I also currently hold 200-meter PRs of 24.23 and 400-meter PR of 55.82.  I participated at State in the 4×400 Relay with a split of 54.2. This summer I joined a club track team and hope to bring my long jump to 6.4 meters and shorten my 200-meter and 400-meter times. Academically, I have a weighted GPA of 3.64 (out of 4) at my rigorous college prep school as well as a 35 ACT score. 

I am also an accomplished athlete across several varsity sports in high school, including Basketball and Golf. I enjoy Track and Field the most and would like to continue my athletic journey. The qualities which have allowed me to be a versatile student-athlete will allow me to succeed in your program. My leadership skills, work ethic and strong athletic abilities will make me a valuable asset to your program. I was awarded MVP 2 years in a row by my high school basketball coach and Most Improved by my track coach last year. In the classroom, I have led multiple group projects and presentations with my peers. My work experience includes umpiring little league baseball games, serving as a summer counselor, and volunteering with several organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and local food banks. 

I am looking for a college which will allow me to grow and contribute to the student body. My current aspiration is to major in business (economics, finance, etc.) or the sciences.
