Hello, My name is Peyton Bertsch, I am a 5 ‘8 middle blocker  with the versatility to also play Outside Hitter. I am graduating from Regina Dominican High School in 2025 and have played Varsity Volleyball since freshman year. I also play for Mindset Volleyball club on the 17u Red Premier team. My natural athleticism has always been a strength (9’5 approach) so I have the versatility and willingness to play multiple positions to help the team. My high energy and passion for the game are the qualities that makes me one of the strongest middles in my league. This past season I had 185 kills with a hitting percentage of 422. My love of the game started in 3rd grade and by 7th grade my sights were set on playing in college. The excitement of the game, the friendships I have developed throughout the years have made it all the better.  

I have many strengths when it comes to playing volleyball and also being a teammate. As a teammate, my focus is to deliver solid results while working to increase team performance.  My nature is highly competitive with a strong desire to win however, good sportsmanship is a value that I cherish in competition.  These values carry over into school where I bring a winning attitude and focus on academics while maintaining good grades and nurturing long lasting friendships. I have always been interested in engineering and my curious nature leads me to determine the underpinnings of what really makes something work. I prioritize organization and have become a successful student – athlete who also works a part-time job.  This is something that I wish to continue to develop, only to become an even stronger collegiate student-athlete.  I am a volunteer volleyball instructor for both my school and at my volleyball club. I am planning on helping coach 3rd graders over the summer, which is something that I really relish. I show leadership as well and was elected to the interview committee and board tasked with hiring the next varsity head coach at Regina Dominican. I asked them why they picked me and they said that I am a trusted advisor, objective, possess good judgment, and I know how people fit within a team.
