My name is Ryan Greeby, and I am a member of the Class of 2028 at DePaul College Prep in Chicago, Illinois. My current PRs are 2:17.07 in the 800m, 59.87 in the 400m, and 18:29 in the 3-mile. At the 2025 IHSA 2A State Track Championship, I was fortunate enough to be part of two State-qualifying relays, placing 5th in the 4x800m and 3rd in the 4x400m. During my sophomore cross country season, my team placed 18th at the IHSA State Championship in our first year competing in 3A. This past track season, I qualified individually for the 800m and ran my PR at the state meet, finishing 27th. Looking ahead, my goal for my junior cross country season is to break 18 minutes in the 3-mile. For track, I hope to run 2:13 in the 800m and lower my 400m time into the mid-57s. 

I am just as committed to my academics as I am to my athletics. I currently have a 4.20 GPA and have challenged myself by taking multiple honors and AP classes throughout high school. I was recently accepted into the National Honors Society and am excited to continue growing academically. I also received the Academic Excellence Grit Award during my sophomore year. 

Outside of school, I am a member of the Big Shoulders Teen Board, which helps support students and schools in need throughout the Chicago area. Our mission is to help younger students gain access to quality education and opportunities while building connections with them. I have also spent the past two summers as a camp counselor at Phantom Lake. Having attended the camp since I was young, I know how much of an impact a positive camp experience can have. As a counselor, I help supervise a cabin alongside adult counselors and participate in games and activities throughout the week. This experience has helped me become a better leader while giving younger campers the chance to make the same great memories I made growing up. 

In college, I hope to be a dedicated, hardworking, and accountable student-athlete. I am really excited about the opportunity to pursue both my academic and athletic goals at the collegiate level while making a positive impact on my team and the community around me.
