My name is Tessa Glueck, I will graduate from New Trier High School in Winnetka Illinois, in 2025. I am a hardworking student with a 4.73 GPA and I am also a highly competitive athlete.  I started out as a soccer player, playing as a forward on competitive travel soccer teams from age 7 through my sophomore year in high school.  For many reasons, I decided to try Track and Field for the first time my junior year and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.  I discovered a new passion for sprinting and have proved myself to be highly coachable and determined to improve. In my first season, my times have improved rapidly and I absolutely love the running community. I am committed to doing everything I can to progress in this sport as much as I can.  As a capstone to my first Track and Field season, I was part of the 4x200m relay team qualifying for the Illinois State Championship. My personal goals are to run 100m in under 12.75 seconds and 200m in under 26.5 seconds.

I am also a passionate learner and because of my German American background, I decided to spend 2 years in a German boarding school for 8th and 9th grade.  I returned to Wilmette to start my sophomore year back in my hometown but the experience of living on my own in another country at a young age shaped me into a self-sufficient, goal-oriented person. I am very driven academically and plan to major in German Language studies alongside Pre-Med.

My coaches and teammates appreciate the positive attitude and passion I bring to the New Trier Girls Track and Field team and have demonstrated myself as a leader this season. Outside of school and sports,one of my favorite things to do is take my German Shepherd, Heidi, to serve as a therapy dog in memory care centers on the weekends.  I am also an avid reader, skier and I love to travel.
