My name is Victor Hickman and I am graduating in the class of 2027. I attend Stevens High School in Rapid City, South Dakota. My main Track and Field events are both the 110 meter hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles. Ending my junior season, my personal best for the 110 meter hurdles was a 15.25 and for my 300 meter hurdles it was a 40.95. At state I placed fourth in the 300 meter hurdles as well as making All-State in them. I plan on improving these hurdle times next year by breaking 15 in the 110s and 40 in the 300s.

My main focus isn’t just on track as I go through my last year high school and later through college. I also play football at the varsity level and will be a three year letter winner in football. Playing football has taught me skills that transfer on to the track. Things like leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship are all important to me in any sport. In the classroom I take my education seriously as I know it is important to me and my future. I have a 3.878 GPA with my strengths being in mathematics. I really focus on being a student-athlete by balancing the classroom with the track.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to run track and I’m very excited for this upcoming track season. It would be one of my biggest goals to run at the next level and I can promise anyone that I will work toward it. For more information, please email me at victorhickman2027@gmail.com.
