My name is Zach Konrad, I am a Catcher/Middle Infielder graduating in the class of 2024 from Kaneland High School in Maple Park IL. I am currently 5’9 and weigh 165lbs. As a catcher, I am a leader with a strong work ethic. I also handle adversity very well and always try to stay positive to boost the morale of my team. I feel I am a positive, fun individual as my teammates like being around me. I play every game as if it is my last and leave everything out on the field. I am very coachable and learn from my success as well as respond well to constructive criticism and “hard” coaching.  

My footwork and blocking are my strong points.  My pop time is sitting at 2.0 flat as I consistently throw with excellent accuracy. I continue to work on my arm strength and quickness in the weightroom and through my training.  I also have improved my speed as I have gone from running a 7.85 to a 7.15 60-yard dash. I take pride in not striking out much and hitting to both fields when I am up to bat. I hope to continue this growth throughout my high school and summer season. 

 In addition to working hard to improve and polish my on the field skills, I have always asserted myself in the classroom. I have a 3.7/ 4.0 scale in my college bound courses which includes both AP and Honors classes. I take my academics seriously as I would like to study Business or Sports Management in college. 

Lastly, I also enjoy volunteering at my HS and in our community.
