My name is June Rectenwald and I am a junior in the class of 2027 at Wheaton North HS in Wheaton, Illinois. My prs are 17:59 for 3 miles, 11:38 in the 3200, 5:26 in the 1600, and 2:28 in the 800. I have competed at the cross country state meet my freshman and sophomore years, and advanced to sectionals as an individual my junior year. This track season, my goals are to run a 5:10 1600 and 11:20 3200.  

I have only participated in one season of track as I played soccer my freshman year. I played club soccer from kindergarten to 10th grade. One team I was on advanced to the Illinois state cup quarter finals, and the other was the three-time Georgia state cup champions. Both teams advanced to nationals. I quit soccer after the fall season of my sophomore year to focus on running. 

In school I am very dedicated student. I have a 4.6 weighted gpa and 4.0 unweighted. I am taking 2 advanced classes and 3 APs, and plan next year to increase my course load to 5 AP classes. I am a member of Rho Kappa social studies honor society and participate in several clubs. I am an active member of my community outside of school as well. I have worked at a shoe repair store for the last three years and have my own pet sitting service. I also volunteer with the first and second grade students at my church, and help with maintenance at a local ranch. 

I am a well rounded student athlete, encouraging teammate, and hard worker. I love challenging myself academically and athletically, and am excited to pursue these careers at the collegiate level. For more information, please email me at junerectenwald2027@gmail.com.
