Hi my name is Lauren Bennett and I am in the class of 2027 at Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. My PRs: 3 miles-17:52, 1600m-5:32, 800m 2:22. I received All-State honors as a member of the 4x800m relay team and was All-sectional in the 800m and a state qualifier individually. For junior year track my goals are to run 2:18 in the 800m and run 5:05 for my mile. In addition to my track goals I look to continuing improving upon my cross country times in 2026 and hopefully achieve the ultimate goal of All-State. 
 
Outside of running I participate in a number of school activities: yearbook, stem club, and key club; I try to participate in Glenbard West activities as much as possible. I enjoy volunteering my time outside of school projects—through GECRC—where I help kids in the classroom. I have an unweighted 3.69 GPA and a 4.15 weighted GPA. This year I am taking two AP courses and one dual credit to balance my studies while also challenging myself, and will take more AP courses next year.  
 
After many years away from the sport I came back to the sport in 7th grade. Since that time I have consistently improved times each year and have grown to truly appreciate the individual and team aspects of running. The teammates I have had over the years have become some of my best friends. I am dedicated to becoming the best runner I can be, and hope to continue that journey at the collegiate level.
